The integumentary System
The integumentary system is the correct name for the skin. The skin is the largest organ in our body, it protect us from bacterias, keep us warm and many more functions. The skin has three main layers:
- Epidermis.- Is the layer that we see (which give the pink color to our skin), it is made mostly of dead cells, one of its inner layers is called "Corneum Strata", it doesn´t have blood vessels neither nervous termination and it is made of epithelial tissue.
- Dermis.- This layer is made of connective tissue, mainly it contains nervs, blood vessels, sweat glands, sebaceous glands and hair follicules.
- Hypodermis.- Is made basically of fat and it is like insulation for our body temperature.

This organ is affected by several diseases because is the outermost organ of all.
