The Nervous System
In the following image is explained the main parts and functions of the nervous system in our bodies.
Parts of the Nervous System
The Nervous System is made of two main parts:
- Central Nervous System: That is made of the Brain, Cerebellum and the Spinal Cord. It´s main function is to recover all the information of the peripheral nerves in the body and analyze that information (mainly by the brain) or for sending information of what to do to the peripheral nerves.
- Peripheral Nervous System: It is made of nerves all over the body. The collect the information of the stimuli that they have and for performing several actions with "orders" of the brain and cerebellum
- Brain: The brain is the control center of the body. It controls thoughts, memory, speech, and movement. It regulates the function of many organs.
- Cerebellum: The cerebellum processes input from other areas of the brain, spinal cord and sensory receptors to provide precise timing for coordinated, smooth movements of the skeletal muscular system.
- Spinal Cord: Your spinal cord is the part of your nervous system that relays messages to and from your brain. It is housed inside your vertebrae, which are the bone disks that make up your spine.
The bad part of the Nervous System
The nervous system can have several illnesses:
Here is the German guy...
The Alzheimer is one of the most common diseases of the Nervous System, this disease mainly appear in old people although it can appear at any age . It is characterized by progressive lost of memory, it´s causes actually are ignored but are related to genetic factors.

For avoiding it:*
- Avoid the intake of drugs and smoking
- Do brain exercises (reading, memory games, etc...)

The Multiple Sclerosis is a illness related to a damage in the myelin sheath, the protective covering that surrounds nerve cells. When this nerve covering is damaged, nerve signals slow down or stop. This generated that electrical impulses (sipnasis) they don´t arrive to the correct place or they take another path, due this it appear motor and sensorial deficiencies.
I can´t move...
The Peripheral Neuropathies are the damage in the myelin sheath of the peripheral nerves in our body. Usually affects a sets of nerves that are in a specific place (such as just part of the face). The main prevention to this disease is the treatment to other diseases that the person may have that also affects the nerves and the use of Vitamin B.
Shake, shake, shake!!!
The Parkinson is due to the lack of dopamine (neurotransmitter) in parts of the brain mainly related to motor functions. This generates that the person has several tremors all over his/her body and they can´t control very good they movements.
